In Star War Galaxy leveling is the only way is the way in which you are allowed to develop your characters skill base. As your levels increase, so do your options for game play. You will not be able to do much in the course of the game other than stick to the  areas until you have a few levels under your belt.

The traditional way for Star War Galaxy leveling is to trudge your way through the newbie areas for countless hours until you have gained enough experience to make your character strong enough to survive (just barely) in the not so newbie areas. This is a long and arduous process at best and monumentally boring most of the time. However, it is the way of gaming.
